21q4PGImXHL Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson Series, Book 3)

by Patricia Briggs is a book I read in one sitting – while recovering from surgery. I should have been sleeping but I could not put this book down.

Mercedes “Mercy” Thompson finds herself mixed up in a murder investigation involving the Fae. These are not the Disney version of fairies – no these are the Brothers Grimm times ten. Not so friendly and willing to sacrifice her ex-boss and lien holder to her garage, Zee. Zee is one of those rarest of fae, able to wield iron. (Iron hurts most fae.)

Now, being a walker – not a Navajo Skin walker – she is unique among the supernatural folk. She may, very well be, the last of her kind. She has never met another. Her community has been among the werewolves whose alpha has declared her his mate.

The mystery at the center of the plot is a good one. Just enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing as to who might have been able to murder fae in their own enclave.

I highly recommend not only this book but all of the series and can hardly wait for the next book about the coyote Mercy.

Interesting article here, well written and much to think about. I wound up in a discussion with my wife over this subject earlier.
